We decided to book a Mount Bartur trek on relatively short notice. After finding Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking on Google we sent a simple WhatsApp message asking if they had space. Within 10min everything was organized. Payment was made via a link so we could pay by card and didn’t have to worry about cash. The driver picked us up right outside our villa at exactly the time specified. Both the driver and the guide were super friendly and informative. All in all it was a great little trip and Mount Bartur Trekking made the whole experience easy and hassle free 👍.
Definitely worth doing, although you need to get up early in the morning as the walk to the summit takes about 1.5-2h and sunset is at 6 a.m. Try to check the weather before you start your trip to mount batur. We only stayed for a few days and were unlucky with the weather -> no sunrise for us because of fog. :( Once you made it to the summit there are also hot springs and places with hot steam you can explore around the crater.
This morning was such a beautiful experience with an amazing sunrise! Very lucky to get such a beautiful and clear view today! Driver BimBim was such a fun driver, so polite and helpful! He made us feel so welcome and a lovely man to drive with. Our Tour guide was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and very patient with all of us treckers who needed time to have breaks, his wife was also a beautiful soul who was just as patient and helpful the whole hike! So lucky to experience this breath taking adventure, seeing monkeys, meeting locals and eating their food cooked over volcanic steam! 10/10 with this morning.
One of the best experiences of my life. Mahendra was a great driver, very friendly and we had a bit of fun with him. He was on time and brought us to the hot springs and coffee plantation after the hike. Ketut was our trekking guide and was so helpful during the journey offering to help us up steep climbs or to carry stuff for us. Ketut made us a very nice breakfast and coffee as we watched the sun rise. Both guides were very friendly with the locals which is always a good sign.
An amazing experience! We had a great time with our lovely guide Sidi climbing Mount Batur. Even though the weather could have been better and the track definitely was advanced level and hard to hike at times, we would 100% recommend this experience and would come again anytime.
The hike and guide were amazing. We were looked after and everything was so easy. The monkeys at the summit were unexpected but really fun to see. The operators went out of their way to fix one small issue and the trip was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend Kero and his team.
